payment policies 

INITIAL PAYMENT

Once we confirm your booking, you will be charged 50% of the total balance due (including tax and, when applicable, additional fees). We are unable to hold specific dates for you without this initial deposit. Reservations not confirmed with a payment are subject to automatic cancellation. 

Please understand that by entering your credit card information into our booking engine, you are giving us permission to charge the initial 50% deposit payment AND the remaining balance (see schedule below) from the card used to hold the reservation.  We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. 

BALANCE DUE

Your remaining balance is due 7 days prior to arrival. If you have given us your credit card information, we will automatically charge the remaining balance on this same card. Please keep your credit card information current. If you wish to make other payment arrangements, please include a note in the reservation request form or call us. Final payments more than seven business days delinquent without communication may be subject to automatic cancellation. 

TAXES & FEES

Our rates presume single or double occupancy and are are exclusive of 8.1% WA State tax and 2% San Juan County Lodgings tax (10.1% TOTAL tax). 

CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY

Our reservations are on a "first come" basis. For cancellations made more than 1 week prior to your scheduled date of arrival, we will gladly refund your deposit, less $40 cancellation fee.

For reservations cancelled less than 7 days in advance, refunds are based upon our ability to re-book the time period reserved.  If re-booked, we will return deposits, less 10% of full rental stay. Please understand that if we are unable to re-book, you may lose the entire cost of stay. 

There are no refunds for No Shows, Early Departures or Cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled arrival.

CANCELLING MORE THAN ONE SUITE
Multiple suite bookings on the same dates are treated as separate bookings and cancellation fees will apply to each. Multiple suite bookings consecutively booked are treated as one booking and cancellation fees will be calculated on the total cost of stay.

OCCUPANCY

Our Suites at Kingfish Inn are designed for single or double occupancy. Maximum 2 guests per unit permitted. We welcome children 10 years or older when s/he is the 2nd guest in your room. No children under 10 years old permitted. Our accommodations operate under strict San Juan County rental permits. We ask that you limit use to the maximum number of persons specified in your rental agreement.

MINIMUM NIGHTS REQUIREMENTS

We have a two night minimum booking during the high season (May-September). One night bookings are available during our slower months, or by phone request, based on availability. 

ONE-NIGHT-HOLE (High Season)

Throughout our high season (May-September) we discourage bookings that create unbookable "One Night Holes” before or after your requested dates. When this occurs, we ask that you please consider adjusting your dates, adding to your booking or changing your suite selection to prevent cancellation.  

We understand that schedules are not always flexible and that a change is not always possible.  In that instance, we ask that you call us directly to see if we can find a creative solution. 360.376.4440. 

OVER BOOKING

We also discourage over-booking. If you book 3 nights and call to cancel one of the nights after we have taken reservations around you, we may ask that you cancel your entire stay rather than be left with an undesirable “One Night Hole” in the schedule.

GRATUITY

We do not add automatic gratuities.  Our staff comes before your stay to prepare your suite and comes after you leave to clean.  Because we hold our guest's privacy so dear, you will likely not meet any of them. However, they are the ones that go the extra mile for you. While optional, gratuities are always appreciated. We recommend $10/stay (regardless of length of stay).

CLEANING

Housekeeping is provided every 3rd day of your stay. Additional cleans are available by prior arrangement. Extra supplies and towels are always available.  Please call or text us whenever you need something.
