PRIVACY

The Kingfish Inn is NOT a Bed and Breakfast.  Rather, it is an intimate Country Inn that serves delicious hot complimentary breakfasts to guests who choose to join us in our charismatic West Sound Cafe dining room. Our chefs (in turn) come especially to cook your breakfast.  Thus, we ask that our guests come to the dining room during the window of time specified in their confirmation.  Breakfast, of course, is not mandatory and guests are welcomed to sleep in if they choose.

Having operated All Dream Cottages on Orcas Island for many years, we appreciate our guests desire for a more romantic and private lodging experience.  We strive to provide that cozy and intimate, yet comfortable space for our guests.  We respect your privacy and unless asked, no one enters your space while you are here. Lie in bed all day with a good book or just sit still looking at the ever changing views from your window. All our Suites (3 upstairs and 1 downstairs) offer stunning views of picturesque West Sound Bay.  Deer, rabbit, sea gulls chasing the eagles, cormorants drying their wings, dolphins, occasional whales and sail boat races in West Sound are all part of the view. 

LOCATION

Our Inn is located on the sunny west side of the island.

Kingfish Inn is just steps away from the sparkling waters of West Sound as well as the verdant farmlands of Crow Valley. 3 miles from Orcas Village (ferry, grocery) 4 miles from Deer Harbor (kayak, whale watch) 6.5 Miles from Eastsound (town, shopping) 9 Miles from Moran State Park (hike, swim) 1 Mile from Turtleback Preserve (most spectacular sunset views on island) From the ferry drive up Orcas Road (Horsehoe Highway) 2.4 miles. Turn left onto Deer Harbor Road; drive 1 mile. The Kingfish Inn and the West Sound Cafe are on the corner of Deer Harbor and Crow Valley Roads, both designated scenic byways.  Minutes from county beach and dock. Kenmore Air flies into West Sound 3 times daily from Lake Union in Seattle.

AMENITIES

The Historic West Sound Store Building (Circa 1902) has the nostalgic proportions of yesteryear with all the conveniences of modernity.  Each Suite has cable TV, free internet access, exquisite linens, pillow-top or feather beds and private baths.  Two suites have private decks and two suites have gas stoves.  There is a coffee machine and hot water for tea in the hall upstairs. We also provide a shared refrigerator and micro-wave oven for our guests as well as dishes, glasses and flatware as necessary.  Please ask.

Pets are not welcomed. Due to past experience, we have Zero Tolerance for pets at our Inn. Please understand that bringing a pet onto the property may result in loss of your reserved time.
